This model was built from Gus Morphis plans. Instead of a built up balsa wing I chose to use a foam wing which I cut using templates and a manual bow.  This is a huge airplane with a 120” wing span. All up weight cam in at 55 pounds.  The wings center section was 6” thick.  The 8” spinner was molded out of fiberglass. A 8.2 cubic inch motor was used to power this model.  Unfortunately on the first real flight of the model a to far rearward CG and to much elevator control cause the model to end it’s life prematurely.
